(“RightMetric”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”) handle your personal data, including the types of personal data we collect about you, how your personal data may be used, when it may be disclosed, how we protect personal data, and the rights you have in relation to the processing of personal data in connection with the provision of our services, which include but are not limited to the creation and delivery of marketing research content via an online portal or email newsletter (the “Services”).

Information You Provide to Us

At different stages of interacting with RightMetric you might provide us with the following information:

Registration Information: You will provide us with your first name, last name, email, and your company website;

Transaction and Billing Information: You might provide us with this information if you sign up for our paid Services;

Communications with Us: You might provide us additional information when communicating with us about a support question, requesting a custom case study or conducting Q&A session or any other way;

Information We Collect Automatically


Log Information: Like most online service providers, we collect information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, language preference, referring site, the date and time of access, operating system, and mobile network information. We collect log information when you use our Services.

Usage Information: We collect information about your usage of our Services. For example, this includes how much time you spent on our website, which pages you visited, and for how long. If we’re part of a business transfer: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company, or in the unlikely event that RightMetric goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user Information would likely be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. If any of these events were to happen, this Privacy Policy would continue to apply to your Information and the party receiving your information may continue to use your Information, but only consistent with this Privacy Policy;

If we have your consent: We may share and disclose Information with your consent or at your direction. For example, we may share Information with third parties with which you authorize us to do so.

If we have de-identified or aggregated it: We may share Information that has been aggregated or reasonably de-identified, so that the Information could not reasonably be used to identify you. For instance, we may publish aggregate statistics about the use of our Services.

If you publish a support request: We may publish a request to publish a support request you send (for example, via a support email or one of our feedback mechanisms) in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users.

Other Things You Should Know

Communications from us: You can elect to not receive marketing communications from us by, or by utilising opt-out mechanisms in emails we send to you. You can also object to receiving marketing communications or request that your personal data be removed from our CRM databases by contacting us using the Contact Information below.

Terminating your relationship with us: We will continue to store archived copies of your Information for legitimate business purposes and to comply with the law. We will continue to store anonymous or anonymized information, such as website visits, without identifiers, in order to improve our Services.

Non-Canadian Residents: We are leased from and operated in Canada. If you are located outside of Canada, please be aware that any information you provide to us will be transferred to and stored in Canada, which may have laws which are different and potentially not as protective as the laws of other countries. We will take reasonable measures to require that the party receiving any of your Personal Information undertakes to: (i) retain and use such information only for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy; (ii) not disclose your Personal Information except with your consent, as permitted by law, or as permitted by this Privacy Policy; and (iii) generally protect the privacy of your Personal Information. Usernames and passwords: The safety and security of your Information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a username and password for access to certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping the username and password confidential. Do not give your password to anyone. If you enter a section of our website that requires a password, you should log out when you leave. As a safety precaution, you should also close out of your web browser completely and re-open it before viewing other parts of the Internet.

Policy changes: The terms of this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ Information, we will notify you by e-mail to the e-mail address specified through your account. Your continued use of this website constitutes your consent to such revised privacy policy. Persons 18 and under: We are concerned about protecting the privacy of minors. We do not knowingly contact or collect information from persons under the age of 18. The website is not intended to solicit information of any kind from persons under the age of 18. If you believe that we have received information pertaining to or from persons under the age of 18, please contact us using the Contact Information below. If we become aware that a person under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

Links to third-party websites: Our Site may contain links to other websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to this Site and our use and collection of your Information. You should also review the privacy policy of the website of any third-party that you may be directed to while using our Site. RightMetric is not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites that may be linked to the Site.
